We take just about any power sports or motorsports in on a trade. We have taken land, house, property, cars, trucks, Suv, bikes, ATV, campers, RVs, boats, trailers, lawn mowers, snow blowers, motorcycles, four wheelers, snowmobiles, WaveRunners in on trades.
We own everything on my web page except if you see an item in that states “consignment item”. Those items are not owned by Philbrick MotorSports. We can and do take trades on consignment items but again we do not own a consignment item. Consignment items are sold as is as seen as stated because we do not own them.
People always call with “what is my trade worth.” I tell them that without seeing it I can not help them out that much. A good starting place is www.kbb.com or www.nada.com There are a lot of things that we have to consider in your trade. for example:
Year, Make, Model, engine size, condition, miles or hours, stock graphics, compression of the motor, damage, issues, rips, faded, maintenance records etc
Without the item in front of us it is very hard to give you a true trade in value and I do not want to give you a high trade-in value over the phone and then you bring your item into the store it ends up being much lower, and then you will say “when we talked on the phone you said you would give me X amount of dollars for it. I do not want any unhappy customers.
We do take vehicles on trades such as cars and trucks, but since I do not deal with that many, you will have to bring it in for an inspection. If I think I can re-sell your car or truck without having a problem in the future I will consider it on a trade, but with Massachusetts lemon law I have to warranty everything unless sold as is. Cars and trucks is not something we do on a regular basis.
If you have a trade and you are trading in on an item against our full asking price we will determine if there is a warranty on the item that you are buying. It is very hard to warranty an item that is on a trade deal because chances are you will not warranty the item you are trading in. This will be worked out at the time of the sale and will be explained before you decide to do a trade.
If trading an out of season item for an in-season item expect you are out of season item to be worth less than being in season. An out of season item means we have to hold it for 6 to 8 months before we are able to resell it.
NOTE: SOME OPTIONS LISTED IN THE DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATIONS MAY OR MAY NOT BE INCLUDED WITH THE ITEM. IF YOU SEE IT IN THE PHOTOS AND IT IS ATTACHED TO THE ITEM THAN THAT IS WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING AT THE TIME OF THE SALE.
